General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Any booking made with Hakanto House, whether for a stay, a restaurant reservation, or an event organization, implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Bookings are confirmed only after validation by the establishment. For events and private hire (privatizations), the booking becomes binding upon receipt of the signed quote, acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions, and payment of the deposit. The final number of participants must be communicated at least seven (7) days prior to the service and will serve as the billing basis, even if the actual attendance is lower.

Payments are to be made in Ariary or in foreign currency, converted at the daily exchange rate on the date of payment. Unless special conditions apply, a 70% deposit is required upon confirmation, with the remaining balance due prior to or on the day of the service. Any additional services (consumption, extras, extensions, etc.) will be subject to additional invoicing.

The private hire of spaces may be subject to a minimum spend. Agreed schedules must be strictly respected; any overruns may incur additional charges.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms vary depending on the nature of the service:

Deposits paid are non-refundable. Postponing a date may only be considered subject to the establishment’s availability and may result in a price revision.

In the event of force majeure (including, but not limited to, extreme weather events), the establishment may be required to cancel the service. In such case, any sums paid will be refunded, excluding any costs already incurred, and no further compensation may be claimed.

The client is held responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their guests. The establishment declines all liability in the event of loss or theft of personal belongings.

Respect for the premises, capacity limits, and house rules is mandatory. In the event of non-compliance, the establishment reserves the right to terminate the service immediately without refund.

These terms and conditions are governed by Malagasy law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be prioritized. Failing that, the courts of Antananarivo shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
